What is Occupational Therapy?
Occupational Therapists focus on the things you want and need to do in your daily life and uses every day activities to promote health and wellbeing.
This may include problem solving with you and providing recommendations in:
Activities of daily living (such as hygiene, sleep or eating)
Adaptive equipment and technology (to make daily tasks easier)
Caregiver and family training
Planning and making the most of daily routines
Engaging in work, school, and leisure activities
Techniques to aid in memory, concentration, and executive functioning (e.g., planning and prioritizing, functional cognition)
Enhancing self regulation, sensory processing and emotional awareness
Developing social skills, including growing and maintaining relationships, finding community and connection
